  1. BGT is open for Sunday service at 9:00 and 11:00 am.
  2. The first priority of the leaders of Bethel is to ensure that all are as safe and protected as possible while attending the church.
  3. The use of hand sanitizers on entry and exit will be a requirement.
  4. All service attenders are required to wear a mask or face covering unless they are exempt as per City of Hamilton By-Law 20-155 - click here to learn more about the by-law.  If you do not have a face covering we will provide one. The speaker and worship team on the platform will be unmasked but will wear one once dismissed from the platform.
  5. All doors will be propped open for touchless entry, exit and washroom use.
  6. The online option will continue to be available on Sunday mornings.
  7. If anyone has any symptoms of illness, we would ask that they remain at home and watch the online service. If you are uncomfortable with exposure to a large gathering then please stay at home and use the online option.
  8. The ushers and greeters will be wearing a face coverings and latex gloves.



  1. As per the limitations on gatherings set by the provincial government, meetings will be limited to 30% of building capacity and comply with the minimum social distancing recommendation of 6 feet / 2 metres.
  2. Attenders are asked to register for each service they plan on attending during the week leading up to the service.  You can either go to the BGT website – www.bgthamilton.com - to register for the service you wish to attend or you can call the church and register over the phone between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. If you have not registered then you will be required to wait in our stand-by section until space is available.
  3. The doors will open 25 minutes before the start of each service.
  4. At this time, BGT will not be running alternate Sunday morning programs for children or youth. Children and youth are required to sit with their families/guardian during the Sunday service.
  5. Bus Ministry will remain on hold for now. The buses have been taken off the road and there may be some limitations on the number of riders so we are waiting for further direction.
  6. We would ask that any greetings or gatherings before or after the services would conform to recommended social distancing standards and not include any form of physical greeting such as handshakes, hugs, high fives, elbow bumps or ankle taps. However, hand waves are acceptable.
  7. Tithes and offerings will be received in offering boxes placed in the sanctuary or the credit/debit machine in the foyer will also be an option. Offering envelopes are available at the Reception desk only or ones brought to the service.



  1. The main washrooms will be the only washrooms open. We would ask that they have limited use as the numbers entering at any given time will be reduced. A greeter will be stationed outside of each entrance to oversee and facilitate the number of users.



  1. Parking will be as normal although we plan to enter the building through our East entrance (by the gym) except for those who have mobility challenges as they will park near the main doors and will be ushered into their seat upon entry.
  2. Please stay in your car until 25 minutes prior to the service. Please check in at the East door when you arrive. 25 minutes prior to each service the doors will open for the queue line and 15 minutes prior to the service you will be brought into the sanctuary.


Entry and Seating:

  1. The East entrance at the back of the building near the gym will be the main entrance.  At this entrance will be a greeter with a print-out of those who have reserved a seat for that service. For those without a reservation we will have a place for you to wait in the gym on stand-by.
  2. The queue line will be down the right-hand side of the hallway going from the gym to the foyer with 6 foot spacing lines. (It will be just like Costco, but not for wholesale items, just wholesome ones from the Lord).
  3. Ushers will escort each attender and/or family / social circle members into the sanctuary for seating. Families and social circle members may sit together but all others must be a minimum of 6 ft/2 m apart. (Note: the pew that you normally sit in may not be available so please respect the placement by the ushers)
  4. The balcony will be open as a seating option with the same restrictions.
  5. The foyer will not have any place for fellowshipping either before or after the services.
  6. Once the service concludes we ask that everyone would move immediately to the parking lot and their vehicles.
  7. Seating will be accommodated according to the family need and mobility challenges.
  8. Exiting the building will be through the main, north entrances. It will be a controlled exit directed by ushers as each row will be released in order to maintain the spacing required for social distancing. Once the building has been exited any return would be through the East entrance.


How Can I Still Give Tithes and Offerings?


There are currently five methods for giving tithes and offerings to the church while the office is closed.

1. Giving Online

Using our online tithing platform - Tithe.ly - you can give securely online using credit or debit. There is a giving link on our "Online Giving" page or you can download the Tithe.ly app

2. In-Person Sunday Mornings

If you are in attendance at one of our Sunday morning services you can drop your offering into one of the designated boxes or give using our debit/credit card machine at Reception. Offering envelopes are available at the Reception desk if you need one.

3. Drop Box for Cheques

If you are giving your tithes and offerings using cheques, a drop slot has been installed in the Lead Pastor’s side entry door (located along the wall three parking spaces east of the main entry doors). The timeframe for depositing your cheques in the slot is Monday to Friday between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. The contents will be collected at the end of each day. Please do not deposit cash.

4. Call in with Credit Card Information

You can call the church office at (905) 387-6530 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday and someone will complete and submit a Credit Card giving form on your behalf.
